Stacy Green is an Oregon-based sales and marketing consultant. With 20 years experience in sales, marketing and advertising, Ms. Green has helped over 200 companies, from Fortune 500 in California to Main Street businesses in rural Oregon and Washington, improve the power and cost-effectiveness of their marketing efforts.
Since moving to Oregon from southern California in 1996, Ms. Green has focused on helping small business owners develop cost-effective marketing strategies and create brochures, websites, ad campaigns and other marketing tools to increase profitable sales. In addition, Ms. Green works with for profit and nonprofits on communications strategy, strategic planning, market research, meeting facilitation and funding applications. A few examples: - Helped an independent pharmacy double volume within five years after several years of flat sales and despite heavy competition from national chains;
- Worked with a small insurance company to identify ways to improve customer service and to design an incentive program for employees that allowed them to exceed sales goals;
- Developed and administered a customer service training program for a rural Oregon health care district that improved patient satisfaction;
- Conducted market research for a rural Washington health care district to better serve customers, attract new customers and work more effectively with partners; also developed ad campaign to promote services;
- Helped a retail store in a rural, Main Street location create a unique sales event that resulted in record sales (150% higher than the average summer day) without discounting a single item;
- Helped a small start-up manufacturer and retailer of fleece clothing increase sales exponentially over five years (without relying on discounting);
- Researched and successfully developed a market for winter tourism in a remote, rural central Oregon county;
- Improved the quality of marketing materials for a variety of regional manufacturers that significantly increased sales at trade shows;
- Helped a horse trainer maximize publicity around a contest to dramatically increase training and clinic business;
- Conducted market research and wrote four grant applications for a low income housing developer to leverage state and federal funding programs over a five year period (currently has 100% success rate on funding applications);
- Helped countless small business owners put more money in their pockets by increasing the cost-effectiveness of their marketing efforts
In addition to consulting, Green offers workshops throughout Oregon and Washington, “How to develop a marketing plan,” “Creating marketing tools that work,” and “How to double your sales through better sales skills.” Her workshops have been sponsored by chambers of commerce, the Northeast Oregon Economic Development District, the Oregon Tourism Commission, Wallowa Resources and Sustainable Northwest of Portland. Green’s articles have appeared in Independent Business and Oregon Business. Ms. Green lives with her husband and two children in Enterprise, Oregon. She enjoys the outdoor life Oregon has to offer, and loves living in a small town, and working with small business owners.
